A tourist attraction for the winter season in Cluj is the new ski slope below Baisoara resort, part of the Buscat which is at a maximum altitude of 1.676 m and was inaugurated on 28.01.2011. Part of ClujTravel team had the opportunity to be among the first who skied here.
It is located in Mount Buscat about 3 km from the town of Mount Baisorii on the road to the resort Baisoara, left after “Cabana Armatei”. The road runs through the forest and offers a great view of the mountains with hills. Road quality is good, but it is a bit difficult if it snowed.

More information on how to get to the Buscat you can find here.
At Buscat you will find three ski slopes which totals 3 km, a trail for beginners, which is the longest (from what we have seen) and two advanced, beautiful even compared to other difficult slopes of Transylvania. Slopes are found in the upper and lower of the cable car (for 2 persons).
Since it is new area there are no restaurants, unless you go down to Baisoara resort. Near the park there is a terrace where you can enjoy hot wine and mici among other products.
More information about the trail can be found on the official website: www.Buscat.ro and opinions of those who were (among which ours) you can find on their Facebook account.
